This long skinny 10×20 was a perfect fit for this earthen pot and red leaf flowers. Or are they just red leaves? Vincent Van Gogh can always surprise and delight us with his unique artistic vision of the world.
Soft spring and olive-tinted greens fade the leaves into the background as we focus intently on the small delicate white spring flowers. The dark branch adds contrast needed for the flowers to take center stage.
What most people do not know about Vincent van Gogh was his deep appreciation of the spiritual side of his soul. An ordained Protestant minister, it is no surprise that he painted this angel but in his own unique style.
